Best Intentions

“I really must get back to my writing ……..”

Oh, my goodness, how many times have I said that to myself, recently ?  Chiding myself and trying to shake out of this ennui and lack of inspiration.

Well, with this in mind may I direct you to a delightful little blog By my friend Paul .

He also occasionally suffers from writer’s block and so has decided to try and get ‘back in the swing‘ by posting a ‘Nature related‘ photo each day for 7 days and writing a few lines/paragraphs to accompany each photo.

Now, you may remember that I once undertook a ‘ Photo a Day for 100 Days‘ challenge ….. Oh, this was way before I did the endless photos of the back of my head in the ‘100 Pleats’ challenge …..

In fact I always seem to be challenging myself to do crazy, practically impossible, things.  But ….and this is a huge BUT in CAPITAL letters and underlined ……. I failed DISMALLY on my last challenge … was just too much.

So, I will NOT be doing a ‘100′ of anything any time soon ……..

However, I have been so inspired by Paul’s blog that I have decided to follow him and challenge myself to post 7 days of photos ….with a little accompanying nonsense, too.

I have a few very busy days ahead, with a trip to Hampshire to visit my 95 yr old Dad, so I will begin towards the end of next week ……. I PROMISE …….

I have missed you, and I know you have a lot going on, but to read your lovely comment earlier and now this, makes me a very happy person.

Thank you, that’s what friends are for. ……… And I am totally serious about your writing !

  3. Oh Rosie. ‘Ennui’ I’ve been struggling to find a word to describe how I’m feeling, that word accurately describes my mood. I’m usually full of beans at this time of year but not this summer. In fact 2016 has been a miserable year for so many, not just me I know, I won’t bore you with the details but I will be glad when this year is history …..
