I love this view of Huntcliffe, taken from the road near Saltburn Railway station.
This glorious part of the world played a prominent part in my childhood. We often visited the quaint, picturesque fishing villages and sea-side resorts that are clustered down this wild and beautiful coast.
Some, such as Robin Hoods Bay; Staithes and the, sadly now faded, town of Saltburn, seem to be a whiskers breadth from falling into the sea, as they cling precariously to the precipitous cliffs. But, like the staunch Yorkshire people who inhabit these lovely places ……… they survive.
