I suppose this is what the sports people would call “peaking too soon” !
But, nevertheless, you have to admire the optimism of this brave little daffodil.
I was given a pot of these delightful little flowers for Mother’s Day. I believe the variety is ‘ Tete a Tete’ . After they had finished flowering, I cleaned the bulbs and popped them into a container with a view to planting them in a tub for next year. What with one thing and another, they were forgotten. The container stacked neatly against the wall by the shed.
I guess the mild Autumn weather has fooled the bulbs into thinking that Winter is over and it is now time to burst into bloom.
Oh dear, poor little flower, how wrong you are !
But today is another glorious day and we can, for a while, pretend that the cold and frost is far away. Have your day in the sun, little flower ………….. because we all deserve that !
